The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is the specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization nd environmental sustainability. The mission of UNIDO is to promote and accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) in Member States. The relevance of ISID as an integrated approach to all three pillars of sustainable development is recognized by the recently adopted 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will frame United Nations and country efforts towards sustainable development in the next fifteen years. Accordingly, the Organization’s programmatic focus is structured in three thematic priorities, each of which represents different aspects of ISID:

Started in 1998 with the mission of improving lives through science and technology innovation, the Centre for Science and Technology Innovations (CSTI) is a research development hub and think tank. As a UNESCO Associated centre, it supports science-driven environmental initiatives to stimulate the development of new technologies, promote sustainable business innovations and enable community-led growth across Africa. Current sustainable chemistry and materials innovation research focuses on social and culturally embedded practices that improve regenerative systems.

The International Younger Chemists Network (IYCN) is an associated organization of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). With a vision to connect and empower younger chemists worldwide, the network aims to support and advocate for early-career scientists working across the chemical sciences towards a globally sustainable future. To date, the IYCN has members and delegates from more than 80 countries. Eight committees are currently working to achieve the goals of the IYCN, including Industry Relations, Social Media, Governance, Conference Presence, Public Outreach, International Society Liaison, Science for Policy and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion. The IYCN organizes several projects, such as a mentoring program, an experiment outreach competition, several workshop series, and the annual Global Conversion on Sustainability. The IYCN is an official partner organisation of the ISC3.
The Young Chemists Forum (JCF) of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) consist of mostly student members of the GDCh. Here young chemists coordinate and organize their interests and activities within 54 regional forums of the 60 GDCh local sections. The regional forums organise a wide range of events, from high-profile lectures to seminars, introductory events, job fairs, experiments for young and old to conferences lasting several days. The JCF is an official partner organisation of the ISC3.
